Research and Background

Application of transportation human factors to older and younger driver safety; Vulnerable Road User Safety (bicyclist and pedestrians); Application of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Simulations towards understanding driver behavior and developing interventions and training programs to remediate failures to scan and perceive effectively; Vehicle Automation: understanding the role of the human within an automated system, study mechanisms of transfer of control between automation and human, develop empirical assessments of trust in automation etc.
