Christofa Receives Outstanding Junior Faculty Award

Photo of Eleni ChristofaAssistant Professor Eleni Christofa recently received the UMass College of Engineering’s Barbara H. and Joseph I. Goldstein Outstanding Junior Faculty Award for 2019.  The award recognizes Dr. Christofa’s great success in transportation research, and her role in the establishment of sixteen sponsored research projects.   As the College of Engineering’s award selection committee noted, “Dr. Christofa’s record of teaching and service is outstanding.”  Early this year, Dr. Christofa was also honored with the Outstanding Young Member Award from the Transportation Research Board of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.  This is an national award given to only one person annually. 
 
Dr. Christofa and other College of Engineering (COE) award winners will be recognized during the College of Engineering Faculty/Staff Recognition Reception on Wednesday, May 1st.
