Call for Presentation Abstracts for the 2018 Innovation & Mobility Exchange

MassDOT invites federal, state, and private transportation professionals to present a topic of their expertise during the 2018 Innovation and Mobility Exchange. 

The annual Innovation and Mobility Exchange provides a forum for innovative transportation systems management ideas and initiatives. The conference is an important opportunity for state, MPO/local, and transit agencies, as well as private sector practitioners and university researchers, to share knowledge, sponsor peer-to-peer learning and collaborate on issues of mutual interest. 

With 36 breakout sessions, conference participants will have the opportunity to discuss the advantages and challenges associated with the innovative methods and technologies being presented. In addition, the MassDOT Innovation Conference will host exhibitors and demonstrations from vendors displaying the latest technologies.

The 2018 MassDOT Innovation & Mobility Exchange is seeking Presentation Abstracts

MassDOT encourages Transportation practitioners from federal, state, and local transportation agencies; Metropolitan Planning Organizations; transit agencies; academia; and private industry to submit abstracts on a broad range of innovative surface transportation topics including: Construction/Materials, Planning/Design, Operations/Maintenance, Safety/Mobility, Technology, and Policy. 

Selected presentation abstracts will be featured in one of the conference’s 36 workgroup podium sessions and will be published in the 2018 Innovation and Mobility Exchange proceedings, subject to author registration and payment. 


IMPORTANT DATES

Presentation Abstract Submission Deadline:  December 22, 2017
Notification of Acceptance of Presentation Abstract: January 19, 2018
Final Presentation Due: April 4, 2018


All presentation abstracts should be submitted by December 22, 2017. Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words, should clearly convey the material that will be presented and discuss innovation implications. Selected abstracts will be featured in one of the conference’s 36 workgroup podium sessions. Authors of presentation abstracts accepted for the 2018 Innovation and Mobility Exchange will be required to submit their complete presentation prior to the conference.
