The Work Zone Safety for Maintenance Personnel course reviews basic concepts of planning, installing, removing, and inspecting temporary traffic control in maintenance work zones. The program reviews maintenance of traffic control devices and identifies applicable standards for common urban, rural, and freeway situations. The program covers the requirements set forth in the MUTCD, the Massachusetts Amendments to the MUTCD, and the MassDOT Typical Details and Drawings for Temporary Traffic Control.
