Over-the-Rail Mower Safety & Operations - Virtual Classroom
Course Description
Like any other piece of on-the-job equipment, the over-the rail, or boom, mower can be deadly if not used or cared for properly. Safety is the key. This class will address the how-to's of staying safe while operating an over-the-rail mower. Topics covered will include preparing to use your mower, safe mower operations, and maintaining your mower.
After this workshop, attendees will be able to:
1. Name the two different types of mowers and identify the different risks associated with each
2. Identify the safety components of your mower and inspect for defects
3. Describe proper operational procedures for a roadside mower
Target Audience
Anyone who uses a boom mower as part of their work tasks to maintain property and does right-of-way clearing, and the like. can benefit from this workshop.
