MassDOT seeks input on plans to improve safety and multi-modal accommodations for the 16 municipalities along Route 2 in Massachusetts

BOSTON — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing the release of the Route 2 Corridor Study, which is now available on the MassDOT website for public comment. The 30-day public comment period will conclude on Thursday, July 25.

The purpose of this project is to prepare a conceptual study that will identify existing and future conditions to develop concept level alternatives and proposing highway, safety, and multi-modal enhancements for the 16 communities along the Route 2 Corridor between Fitchburg and Concord. The goals of this study are to improve traffic flow and safety for all users while minimizing impacts on the community and natural resources.

MassDOT values public feedback and all input received by the Study Team during the 30-day comment period will be logged and documented.
