MaPIT version 3.0 has rolled out with many new and updated features! This class is intended for any new or existing MaPIT users who currently use, or plan to use, the tool to initiate new highway projects, and to familiarize themselves with the new features. These features include:

• New interactive forms 

• Targeted questions to establish a richer project scope

• Additional GIS layers to alert project proponent to new opportunities, risks, and areas of interest

• Dynamic alerts for potential permitting requirements, action items, and supplemental information

• Option to upload supporting documentation

• Better alignment with MassDOT scoring criteria 

This class is intended to only instruct users on the Highway Project Workflows; MaPIT’s ability to initiate Local Aid projects (such as Chapter 90, Complete Streets, and Small Bridge grant awards) will be deployed later this fall and additional training for those workflows will be offered at a later time.
