Overview

Description:

A chainsaw is a useful tool in many industries but operating a chainsaw can be dangerous if the right precautions are not taken. According to the Centers for Disease Control, there are about 36,000 chainsaw-related injuries each year. The risk of injury can be minimized by using safe operating procedures and wearing the proper personal protective equipment, or PPE. Learners who successfully complete this course should be able to recognize safe operating procedures for chainsaws. This micro-learning course covers a small part of a broader topic. For a more complete training experience, see HPT-2.2 Chainsaw Safety. This course is presented in English and Spanish. (4 min.)
