Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute Examines the What and Why of Distracted Driving

On June 6, 2023, the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute held a webinar on The What and Why of Distracted Driving. Aimee Cox, of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, presented a study on how the persistent connectivity enabled by handheld devices has presented an ongoing threat to traffic safety. This study was conducted as a means to better understand the barriers to preventing distracted driving, as well as identifying potential motivating factors to end distracted driving.
