Routing Policy Choice Models in Stochastic Time-Dependent Networks, Mitigation Techniques to Modify Driver Performance, Electric Vehicle: Impacts on Transportation Infrastructure—A Review of Other States
Research and Background
Song Gao is a professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Dr. Gao’s research focuses on transportation network modeling and optimization, and econometric and psychological models of traveler behavior, with applications in sustainable transportation systems, and smart and shared mobility. Dr. Gao’s recent and ongoing projects have focused on GHG reduction and energy efficiency, including two projects sponsored by MassDOT on eco-driving and zero-emission vehicles, and one project in collaboration with MIT sponsored by ARPA-E on using incentives to nudge travelers to make more environmentally friendly travel choices.
